A young man named Syed Mohammad Tarekul Islam (28) was going to a relative’s house in Fatikchari from Rangunia along with his wife’s brother. But he lost his life in a tragic road accident on the way. This tragic road accident took place in Katirhat area of Phatikchari on Thursday (October 11) night.
The deceased Tarek is the son of Syed Anwar Hossain of Beriband area of Lalanagar Union of Rangunia Upazila. In this incident. Another young man named Saiful Islam is injured and is under treatment in the hospital.
It is known that Tarek got married a year ago from Bagabili in the same upazila. The two, along with his wife’s brother Saiful, were going to Fatikchari Heako area on a motorcycle to visit a relative’s house. On their way to Katirhat area, they had a head-on collision with a motorcycle. Two were seriously injured after falling from the motorcycle.
Later they were rescued and taken to a private hospital where Tarek died at around 2 am while undergoing treatment. He is the youngest child among two brothers and sisters in the family. He was a businessman by profession. His death has cast a shadow of mourning across the area
