A10, N118… We take stock of the blockages planned for this Sunday

Anger roars again in the fields. Farmers’ unions have planned a series of actions to demonstrate their opposition to the free trade agreement between the EU and Mercosur, despite a common position with the French government on this subject. “We are demanding an in-depth modification of the Mercosur treaty”, demands the president of the FNSEA Arnaud Rousseau in an interview to the Sunday Tribune.

Before “large-scale” actions planned over the next week, mobilization begins this Sunday in several departments. The bulk of the actions are planned in Ile-de-France, with several blockages expected in Yvelines and Essonne. According to the Yvelines prefecture, road traffic could be seriously disrupted on the N118 near Vélizy, where around a hundred tractors are expected around 5 p.m.

Actions in major cities on Monday

According to BFMTV, two CRS companies should prevent them from advancing further towards Paris. Furthermore, a convoy is expected on the A10 with a blockage at the Longvilliers tollbooth. Used by tractors to converge, smaller routes could be congested in the afternoon, notably the RN20 at Etampes, the D74 at Auvernaux, the D17 or even the RN12 between Houdan and Velizy.

Actions are also expected in Marne and Le Mans, where farmers have planned to cover municipal signs. The bulk of the mobilization is expected for Monday, with “fires of anger” already planned in Arras, Amiens, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Dijon and Le Havre. Actions are also expected in Montpellier, Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand and between Nantes and Rennes.
