Highway 3 (A3), cut in a north-south direction in the Coronado area (São Romão and São Mamede), in Trofa, after a collision between three vehicles with one person dead, reopened to traffic, according to Civil Protection.
The A3 was reopened at 1:35 am this Wednesday, a source from the Porto Metropolitan Area Sub-Regional Emergency Command told Lusa.
The accident occurred at kilometer 13 in the north-south direction, between the Santo Tirso and Maia interchanges.
In addition to the fatal victim, the collision caused two injuries, one assisted and the other considered minor, a Civil Protection source previously explained to Lusa.
Firefighters from Santo Tirso, the SIV ambulance from Santo Tirso, the Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Vehicle (VMER), the GNR and the highway concessionaire were called to the scene, totaling 22 operators, supported by ten vehicles.
