About 26% of Russians intend to work part-time during the pre-New Year period or during the holidays

Avito Works analysts conducted a survey and found out whether Russians plan to take on part-time work before the New Year and on the January holidays. According to research data available to RT, about 26% of respondents intend to earn extra money during this period, and another 37% are considering this possibility if suitable offers are available.

It is noted that most often precise plans for part-time work during this period were reported by young people aged 18–24 years (35%) and 25–34 years (31%), as well as respondents in the age group 35–44 years (28%). .

At the same time, 29% of survey participants definitely do not plan to work on New Year’s holidays, experts explained.

“Most often, representatives of the following areas spoke about plans for part-time work in the pre-New Year period: marketing, advertising and PR specialists (52% of respondents), employees of the fitness industry and beauty salons (47%), as well as employees of the automotive business (44%),” – the study emphasizes.

Among the most common areas for holiday part-time work, Russians identified gift wrapping (16%), repairs and construction (12%), creative areas – design, copywriting, photography and others (12%), online trading (11%), as well as work in the delivery and logistics segment (11%).

As analysts have found, the main reasons prompting Russians to do part-time work at this time are the desire to save money for personal purposes or vacations (44%), additional income for gifts and holiday expenses (42%), as well as the desire to use their free time profitably ( 23%).

A total of 10 thousand respondents took part in the survey.

Earlier, specialists from the Consol.Pro platform and the Zarplaty.ru analytical center conducted a survey and found out how Russians feel about part-time jobs, as well as what kind of income they bring.
