About 30 cubic meters of burnt trees were removed from the hill of Gorica

In a large volunteer action, burned trees that died during the fire in July were removed from Gorica hill today in the area above Atinska street.

The action was organized by the Capital City, and employees from almost all secretariats and companies that are part of the Capital City participated in it.

A large number of volunteers responded to the action, and many children tried to contribute.

“The terrain that was being cleaned today is far from the main path, so a corridor was previously cut so that a human chain could be made and the waste could be removed more easily. As part of the preparations, colleagues from the Protection and Rescue Service and Zelenila, with our coordination, trampled the burnt trees. Terrain is extremely rocky and only thanks to the exceptional preparation and even better organization of the event, there was not even the slightest injury or even the slightest incident. Secretariat, Parking Service and other city businesses for their massive presence. We owe special thanks to the volunteers,” said Gajević.

This is one of a series of actions that have been organized since the beginning of this year to remove plant waste from Gorica. During all of them, almost 1,500 cubic meters of waste were collected and transported. The activities will continue in the future.
