The REPUBLIC Hydrometeorological Institute (RHMZ) has published the forecast for the coming days.

During the morning in the area of ​​Srem, as well as the Negotin Krajina, fog will reduce visibility to about 100 meters.

Cooldown on Friday

Today in the morning, partly low cloud cover, and fog in some valleys in the south and southwest of Serbia. During the day, slightly to moderately cloudy with longer sunny intervals and above average warm. The wind is weak and moderate, in mountainous areas and in Banat stronger, southerly. The highest temperature from 8 °C in Negotinska Krajina and in some valleys of southern Serbia to 19 °C in Vojvodina, western and central Serbia.

With the increase in cloudiness, light short-term rain is locally expected in the evening, and stronger cloudiness and cooling with a strong, gusty and stormy northwesterly wind with stronger rain is expected in the second part of the night, first in the north of Vojvodina.

Cooling and clouding with rain on Friday will quickly spread to other parts of Serbia. It will start snowing in the hilly and mountainous areas, and with the drop in temperature, in the afternoon and evening, the rain will change to snow in some places and in the lower areas in central and southern Serbia.

Weather forecast until January 16

The cold weather will last until January 16 with morning frost and daytime temperatures around and slightly above 0 °C. Snow is mainly expected from Saturday to Monday in the south and southwest of the country with the creation/increase in the height of the snow cover, while in other parts of Serbia, passing clouds from the north will cause short-term snow on Wednesday.
