Accumulation of technical problems with Netflix fight Paul vs Tyson

The Netflix fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson that aired live last night was difficult to watch. Not because of the striking blows, but because of technical problems.

Netflix has recently started doing it more often: livestreaming events. However, that does not always go smoothly. For example, after the Love is Blind reunion, it had to apologize for the technical problems that caused the broadcast to be delayed and had other problems. Now that was a relatively small livestream. With all the marketing fuss from Netflix about the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, you would expect that the streaming service has provided a more robust technical infrastructure.

The problems caused stuttering images, dropping sound and delays. Netflix did not crash completely, but the technical problems were clearly noticeable, even for Dutch viewers who had stayed up especially for the event (it was broadcast from 2:00 am our time). Viewers are complaining on social media.

There are particular concerns about this problem in the United States, where Netflix soon wants to broadcast wrestling and an NFL Christmas tournament live. At the same time, it has paid a lot of money for the license to broadcast these types of events, so it also benefits from ensuring that it is easily watchable. It is therefore hoped that the boxing fight will be a good lesson for Netflix to have even better control of the technique next time.

Do you want to watch the fight again? Paul vs Tyson is on Netflix. Please note: the image quality leaves much to be desired.
