At IFA, Acer unveiled its new ConceptD Pro series notebooks, which will arrive soon with NVIDIA Quadro GPUs and 9th generation Intel Core i processors. The members of the Pro series promise a long operating time, high performance and great flexibility thanks to Windows 10 : they are even recommended for VR tasks and artificial intelligence tasks. In addition to the notebooks, Acer also presented a ConceptD monitor.
ConceptD 9 Pro
This series represents the pinnacle, with a 17.3-inch display, a 4K resolution panel and access to the full Adobe sRGB color space. The notebook can even be ordered with a Core i9 processor and an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 GPU. Along with the machine, Acer also includes the Wacom EMR digital pen, so that we can use the capabilities of the touch screen to the maximum.
ConceptD 7 Pro
The notebook series, representing one category smaller, has a 15.6-inch display, but still offers 4K resolution. The machine weighs 2.1 kg and has a 17.9 mm thick device case, and in terms of processor, the Core i7 is the top – which can even be paired with an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000.
ConceptD 5 Pro
What’s more, the 5 Pro series, available in two sizes, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch IPS displays, can even offer 4K resolution, but in addition to the Core 7 processor, only NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 GPU can be selected for these machines – which of course, it’s not a weak iron yet, it’s perfect for CAD design and creating animations, for example.
ConceptD 3 Pro
The new 3 Pro series is primarily available with hardware tailored to the needs of photographers, as the Core i7 processor is accompanied by an NVIDIA Quadro T1000 GPU and a lower resolution display. In return, the iron and cooling have been optimized so that the machine is relatively quiet even under continuous load, with its noise level of 40 dB(A).
ConceptD 5 and 3 and ConceptD monitor
In addition to the announcement of the above new machines, Acer also updated the existing 5 and 3 machines: the machines will now also be available with a ninth generation Core i7 processor and NVIDAI GeForce GTS 2060 graphics controller.
Also, the ConceptD series now means not only notebooks, because Acer also announced the CM2241W at IFA. For now, relatively little is known about the monitor: in addition to the 24-inch diagonal, it has 99 percent Adobe RGB color space coverage and 75 Hz image refresh rate, and it will match the ConceptD notebook in terms of design.
