Acer presents a new generation of its handheld gaming machines i The Nitro Blaze family: Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11.
What stands out the most is the Nitro Blaze 11’s 11-inch screen, which is significantly larger than the 7.4-inch Steam Deck OLED. The Nitro Blaze 8 sibling has a slightly smaller 8.8-inch screen – which is still larger than the competition’s machines.
Nitro Blaze 11 has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600 pixels. The Nitro Blaze 8, on the other hand, has a higher refresh rate of 144 Hz. Both machines are equipped with an AMD 8840HS processor with 8 cores, 16 threads, 24 MB cache and a maximum frequency of 5.1 GHz. The handhelds also have 2 TB of storage and 16 GB of primary memory.
The Acer devices will be launched in Europe during the second quarter of the year. The Nitro Blaze 11’s large screen also comes with a high price tag: EUR 1,199, equivalent to approximately SEK 14,000. The sibling unit costs EUR 999, or SEK 11,000. Both devices thus place themselves in the higher price range for hand-held gaming machines.
