Since there is a summer sale on GOG, it was expected that some free fire would also appear. And look, here we have an action adventure game The First Templar – Special Edition. The usual rating hovers around 5-6/10, but the game is fun and long enough to make it worth running in the first place.
The game follows the story of two characters – the French Templar Celian d’Arestide and his companion Marie d’Ibelin, a noble lady who was declared a heretic by the Dominican Inquisition. Since there are two characters, you will also control two characters. First the two templars and then the lady. And in addition, there is the possibility of cooperation with a friend and you can steam at the same time, otherwise you switch between characters. And what will you do? Well, you have to uncover the secrets of the Templar Order, play a role in a grand conspiracy and search for the Holy Grail.
In the meantime, fight, sneak, chat, randomly improve the character and collect experience and solve logical problems. But the main currency is the story and its setting in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. It might not be Assassin’s Creed, but if you’ve got nothing to play and you’ve always wanted to be a templar, you can give it a shot.
