Forgot to tag an account in your story? No problem! From now on, TikTok users can add accounts even after posting a story. This feature will primarily make everyday life easier for brands and social media managers by saving them the trouble of having to re-upload. The post-upload mention will be particularly useful for story sequences where chronology plays a role.

Where can you find this small but nice change? After opening a story, the new Mention option now appears when you click the share button in the bottom row on the far left. Et voilà, that’s how easy it is to tag accounts in your story afterwards. This function has been common practice on Instagram since April 2022 and is accordingly popular – users will therefore be happy about the cross-platform functional alignment.
