Adventures for two with Split Fiction

2025 will be the year that Electronic Arts releases Split Fiction, a cooperative game that appears to have the potential to “grab” two players at a time, on very different adventures.

From the Swedish studios responsible for It Takes Two, Hazelight Studios, Split Fiction will arrive in 2025.

It is a cooperative adventure game (with platform dynamics, stealth action, puzzles, and more) that involves a certain dose of madness and chaos, as it promises to be a unique action and adventure experience that will try to keep players in suspense with unexpected moments.

One moment they'll be taming dragons, then the next they'll be fighting a deadly kitten, dancing and wrestling with a monkey, or dodging flying cars launched by a robotic valet.

According to the story of Split Fiction, the two characters Mio and Zoe, two aspiring writers who want to sell their works to a technological company that has the software capable of turning them into reality. However, accidentally, they end up entering the same simulation. To return to reality they will have to complete the crazy adventures they created themselves.

If we take into account that Mio writes about science fiction and Zoe about fantasy, the die is set for very different adventures. And so the adventure begins.

At first, they didn't get along. However, due to circumstances they ended up becoming each other's only hope. Therefore, they can only count on each other's support as they venture into the many surreal stories born from their own creative minds.

Split Fiction will present a vast set of mechanics and skills available to players, to overcome the different challenges that each world presents to them. The different worlds are true science fiction scenarios and in exploring each one, players will discover new abilities.

It is a game developed with two players in mind, with split-screen. Therefore, it will be crucial to coordinate the actions and timing of both players as they work together to overcome challenges.

There is also a Friend Pass that allows just one player to purchase the game and invite whoever they want to play online with them.

Split Fiction will be released on March 6th for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X and PC and will have crossplay.
