The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) refused to settle an amount of over 2 million euros requested by the AUR for the expenses incurred in the elections on June 9, official sources said for G4Media. The reason would be that Simion’s party did not comply with the legislation on the financing of political parties.

The reason AEP refused the statements is that George Simion’s party allegedly made some loans that exceeded the maximum amounts allowed by law, and in other cases the money came from a single loan source, which would be prohibited by law.

Some of the loans for AUR that AEP did not settle came from Maricel Păcuraru’s entourage, according to G4Media information.

In addition, AEP also confiscated sums from AUR for the same reasons, a procedure provided for by law.
