Prague – Slavia footballers have the second highest point gain in the independent history of the first league after half of the regular season. The people of Prague scored 41 points in the first 15 rounds, only Pilsen was better in the 2017/18 season, which scored two more points. With this win, the Slavists equaled their achievement from the years 2019/20 and 2020/21.
Slavia won smoothly 4:0 in České Budějovice on Sunday and claimed their thirteenth win in the league season. She only lost points for two draws. In the 2017/18 season, Pilsen even won 14 games and only one draw in the first half.
Only five times did any of the teams reach 40 or more points. Slavia managed it three times and Pilsen twice, who had 40 points in the middle of the year on their way to their first title in the 2010/11 season. Historically the most successful Czech team Sparta reached a maximum of 39 points in the opening 15 rounds.
Slavia is the only team that has not lost in the current league season, they are unbeaten in the top competition for 22 matches. But he is still far from his own record. From March 2020 to October 2021, the red and whites did not lose 54 consecutive matches in the league.
So far, one of the teams has managed to go through the entire season of the top competition without defeat since the division of the federation twice. Sparta did it in the 2009/10 season, Slavia in the 2020/21 season.
The 16th league round took place at the weekend, but the teams have played only 15 matches so far. One round in September was postponed due to flooding in part of the Czech Republic and will not be on the program until next week.
