A child named Miraj Uddin (04) died tragically after falling into a pothole in Bhaterkhil village of Sitakunda Muradpur Union. The child is said to be the son of deceased Alauddin of that area.
Locals said that after the child went missing around 3 o’clock on Saturday afternoon, the local people and his relatives did not find him even after a lot of searching. Later in the evening, the villagers found her small sandals in a big hole made by a scavenger in the agricultural land next to the house. There was no trace of the baby Miraj even after casting a net and going down into the hole.
At one point, on the advice of the local mentors, 4 people stood at the four corners of the pit and started giving adhan simultaneously. Then, shortly after the Azaan ended, Miraz’s dead body suddenly floated out of the hole in the shape of a boat. Later Miraj’s body was recovered and the local residents informed her mother.
Miraj has two elder sisters. The elder sister is studying in the 6th standard and the younger sister in the 4th standard in a local school. Miraj was the youngest and only brother among them.
His father Alauddin (43) died of cancer a year ago. After the death of her father, Miraj’s mother fell into poverty.
Today, in an accident, like his father, Miraj also left the world. Meanwhile, a shadow of grief descended on the village due to the death of Miraj. Miraj’s mother is almost crazy after losing her husband and only son in just one year.
In this regard, Miraj’s uncle Md. Kamruzzaman told reporters that my brother died of lung cancer a year ago. A year after that, his younger son, my nephew Shishu Miraj, also drowned in a big hole and went to the land of no return. It is very sad and painful. Miraj’s mother is almost crazy after losing her son.
