A little earlier in the year, we shared this illustration from the manga with you Deadpool Samuraiin which the famous Marvel character had fun parodying the cover of one of the volumes of Detective Conan. And even more recently, the man nicknamed the “Merc with a mouth” has set his sights on another very popular shonen, which should please harem fans.
When Deadpool attacks the Nakano sisters
2024 was a busy year for Deadpool. Indeed, it was last July that fans were able to witness the mutant’s big return to the cinema in the long-awaited Deadpool & Wolverine. A third part dedicated to the character played by Ryan Reynolds which also allowed Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to return to the forefront, to the delight of X-Men fans.
But it’s not only in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film that fans were able to see Wade Wilson again this year, because the character was also entitled to his share of stories in paper format. We recently presented the comic to you Venom War: Deadpool #1 released last month, in which we could notably find Wolverine’s son.
And alongside comics, the famous mercenary was entitled to new adventures in manga with Deadpool Samurai. This project, which marks the collaboration between Marvel and Shūeisha’s Shūen Jump, one of the most famous Japanese publishing houses, sees “the most irreverent of superheroes” arrive in Tokyo, thus mingling with the universe of different very popular mangas. This is how fans were able to see Deadpool team up with All Might from My Hero Academia in order to fight against Thanos.
More recently, another manga has been the target of the mutant. Indeed, it is in chapter 20 of Deadpool Samurai that we can see an illustration parodying the cover of volume 1 of The Quintessential Quintuplets.

In addition to character layoutwe can see that one of the Deadpool wears Yotsuba’s green rabbit-shaped ribbon on his head, the distinctive sign of one of the five Nakano sisters in the manga, while another sports the same bows in the shape of butterfly that is usually found on Nino’s head.
But there is still some differences with the original coversince the flower petals have been replaced here by spots of blood, in order to stick more closely to the violent universe of the mutant.
Note that the manga Deadpool Samurai has been paused indefinitely after the release of the last chapter. We do not yet have a reason for this sudden interruption, other than that it is due to “multiple circumstances.”
