A long evening rich in liters of beer

Reported by Southwestthis story seems almost impossible. But “impossible is not French”as this popular quote says so well. After a breathalyzer test, the man had 1,2g of alcohol per liter of blood. The person concerned explains that this is due to a long evening which dates from the day before.

Unfortunately, this excessive consumption alcohol cost him dearly. Still testing positive nearly 7 hours after stopping drinking, the convicted man explained that he did not feel drunk or under the influence of alcohol when he got back behind the wheel.

Excessive consumption that results in a heavy penalty

The municipal employee enjoyed the party, but everything is now finished for him. After appearing before the Pau criminal court only two days after his arrest, he was sentenced to nine months in prisonThis conviction follows six mentions on his criminal record, notably for driving under the influence of drugs.

In addition, Sud-Ouest reports that the man showed up violent with the police at the time of his arrest. Unfortunately, this did not work in his favour at the time of the trial.

Some motorists are totally unconscious when getting behind the wheel after a night of heavy drinking. He had drunk the equivalent of 48 beers of 25 cl within 16 hours. When he got up a few hours later, he didn’t even realize he was in no condition to drive. This kind of behavior can cause dangerous accidents. Both for the driver and for other road users.

Finally, this municipal employee will no longer be a danger for anyone for a long time. With 9 months of prison time to serve, he will probably have time to to reflect on to his actions before returning to active life.
