The Hungarian men’s water polo team confidently won 21-10 against the Georgia team in the quarter-finals of the World Cup qualifier in Bucharest. With this, our team is in the super final of the World Cup in Montenegro, and the winner of the Japanese-Greek match awaits them in the qualifying semi-final.

The Hungarian team got off to an excellent start, scoring from their first five shots, and defending flawlessly at the back, so they gained a serious advantage (5-0) after only five minutes. The Georgians broke their bad streak by scoring two goals, but Manhercz’s goal ended the quarter.
The image of the game did not change in the sequel, the Hungarians could practice the figures as they liked, and the five-meter ones were also sold. The difference in skills between the two teams was enormous, the Hungarian advantage increased to 11 goals in the final eight minutes (15-4). The fourth quarter brought the most hits in the match, which ended 21-10. Zsombor Ekler was the most successful of the Hungarians with five goals.
Zsolt Varga’s team secured their place in the eight-team super final of the series, which will be held in Kotor, Montenegro, between April 11 and 13. The Hungarians will meet the winner of the Japan-Greece quarter-final in Saturday’s semi-final at 16.30.
