From January onwards, the BR soap “Dahoam is Dahoam” will also be broadcast in the afternoons. You can see repeats that are almost seven years old.
Sometimes program planning writes the most beautiful stories. Just a few months ago, the general future of daily soaps in the afternoon program of the first was uncertain. Now it is clear: at least at the start of 2025, Das Erste will even expand its daily dose of soap material. It was clear that the station would continue to experiment with the 4 p.m. hour in the future. With unusual flowers. Starting on January 7th, Das Erste is now including the series “Dahoam is Dahoam”, which has been successfully broadcast on BR’s early evening program for years, into its program.
Each episode of the Bavarian Daily lasts just under half an hour. So the broadcast is planned as a double package. But you can see old episodes in the first. It starts with episode 2246, which was shown on BR in 2018. On the BR the evening before, the first broadcasts remain.
“Dahoam is Dahoam” started in 2007. The stories take place in the fictional town of Lansing. The series has been produced by Dahoam Television since 2021; before that, Constantin Television was responsible for the BR soap. Dahoam Television is also a Constantin subsidiary. The series is produced in Dachau, Bavaria. The BR has so far shown almost 3,500 episodes of the Bayern soap.
It will now run next year after “Red Roses” and “Storm of Love”. This year, ARD initially decided to halve the broadcast time, but ultimately reversed this. The series will remain in the first program as one-hour programs until at least 2027.
