After traveling hundreds of kilometers he arrived in Iceland, but they killed him

Polar bears are not well received in Iceland. The last one seen was shot dead by authorities in 2016.

After so many years, at the end of a very long journey, another polar bear appeared on an iceberg.

The policemen stated that they had no choice and after consulting with the environmental authorities they shot him, according to ProTv.

He was killed on Thursday in Höfdastrand, on the northwestern tip of the island.

He was healthy, between 150 and 200 kilograms, and they flew him to Reykjavik for tests.

Polar bears cannot survive long in Iceland, they have no ice and no food, officials said.

And since the cost of relocation to Greenland is too high, they are killed.
