DAPURPACUID – Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) racers are preparing to face the final series of the 2024 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) in Buriram, Thailand, early December.
In the Asia Production (AP) 250 class, both Herjun Atna Firdaus and M. Kiandra Ramadhipa have a big chance of winning the overall championship in that category.
Herjun fills the top position in the standings with a total of 132 points, while Ramadhipa trails Herjun in second place in the standings with 122 points.
The collection of points obtained by the two racers was the result of their podium achievements in the Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Sepang rounds.
Thanks to this achievement, support was given by Gerry Salim, winner of the title in 2017 and Rheza Danica Ahrens, overall champion for the 2018 and 2023 seasons, as well as team champion 5 times from 2017 to 2023.
Gerry explained, in 2017 he competed fiercely in the AP250 class and managed to win the Asian champion title for the first time, using a Honda CBR250RR.
“I hope that Herjun or Ramadhipa will be able to defend the AP250 title for AHRT and also Indonesia,” explained the rider born in Surabaya.
Meanwhile, The Silent Boy, nicknamed Rheza Danica, had his own struggles in the season he played in winning the championship title.
“Last year my team and I managed to win overall championship in the AP250 class. “This year, the team has the same opportunity and I hope that the trophy and championship title will still belong to AHRT with the CBR250RR,” hoped Rheza.
Both Herjun and Ramadhipa have very positive prospects for winning the overall championship, which will be determined at the final round in Buriram, Thailand, 7-8 December 2024.
“I am confident using the CBR250RR to face the competition in the upcoming final series with the power and handling it has. “Even though I’m facing rivals who have larger engine capacities, I will still fight,” concluded Herjun.
The Honda CBR250RR is a high-tech production work from the AHM Karawang factory, which was developed using Total Control as the DNA of the CBR Series.
This Honda supersport model has a design characterized by speed, high performance and abundant features, supporting competitiveness on the race track and in everyday driving. (dpid/TH)
