In 2001 the airline was using Embra3r 190 aircraft and made two weekly flights to Athens. Today Air Baltic has reached 13 weekly flights to the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes and Corfu. Transportation is done with new AirBus 220-230 type aircraft.

At the event Ms. Anna Manuhina, Baltic Travel Group – Head of MICE department made a mini-presentation about the most beautiful places of Latvia in an effort to attract Greek travelers to visit her country.
Air Baltic flies from the airports of the capital Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius and Tampere to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the Caucasus. These destinations, along with codeshare partnerships with other airlines, exceed 130 destinations.
Ms. Anna Manuhina said that in 2025 her company plans to add 16 new destinations. Of these, two will be to Greece, specifically from Vilnius to Corfu and Rhodes, while from June 2025 there will be another flight from Riga to Mykonos.

The airline was established on 28 August 1995 by signing a joint ownership agreement between Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and the State of Latvia. Air Baltic operations began on 1 October 1995 with the arrival of the first Saab 340 in Riga. In the afternoon of the same day, the plane made Air Baltic’s first passenger flight. Air Baltic is the national airline of Latvia based at Riga International Airport.
