Following an unwritten tradition, iFixit employees took apart new Apple devices. This time they focused their attention on this year’s AirPods headphones.
Company officials said AirPods remain a “nightmare to take apart” for service technicians, and they were once again rated zero, meaning they are virtually impossible to repair. On-ear headphones received six points.
In the case of the new case, it is equipped with a 345 mAh battery and it is the same battery that was used in the 3rd generation model.
Both AirPods Max and AirPods 4 are almost identical internally to their predecessors.
