Airport Railroad Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Airport Railroad) announced that it held the ‘Airport Railroad Design Illustration & Calligraphy Contest’ awards ceremony in the conference room on the 3rd floor of its headquarters (Seo-gu, Incheon) on the 26th.

This contest was held to find original and excellent illustrations and calligraphy designs representing the Airport Railroad under the theme of ‘Design symbolizing the vision (the safest and fastest route, Airport Railroad) and mission (happy companionship, AERX) of the Airport Railroad.’ It lasted one month from November 1st to November 30th.

A total of 392 works were submitted, including 139 works in the illustration category and 253 works in the calligraphy category, resulting in fierce competition.

The submitted works were evaluated by Airport Railroad’s internal evaluation and external professional judges, and in the illustration category, one grand prize winner (prize money of 4 million won), two excellence prizes (prize money of 2 million won each), seven encouragement prizes (prize money of 1 million won each), and calligraphy. In each category, 1 grand prize winner (prize prize of 2 million won), 1 excellence prize winner (1 million won prize money), and 4 encouragement prize winners (prize prize of 1 million won) 500,000 won each) were selected as winners.

The grand prize in the illustration category was Yeonju Choi (38 years old), who expressed the four seasons of the Airport Railroad along with the new trains to be introduced in 2025. The grand prize in the calligraphy category was Seunggyun Choi, who wrote the vision and mission of the Airport Railroad in a modern, rhythmic font. Mr. (age 50) received each award.

The works selected in this way will be used in a variety of promotional contents such as Airport Railroad brochures and souvenirs in the future.
