Airport Railroad Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Airport Railroad) announced on the 24th that it will adjust the departure screening operation hours at the Seoul Station City Airport Terminal to match the boarding check-in operation hours from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM starting on the 22nd.
The Seoul Station City Airport Terminal, located on the 2nd basement floor of Seoul Station, is the only place in downtown Seoul where you can check in for Incheon International Airport international flights in advance. Currently, a total of 9 companies are providing the service: ▲Korean Air ▲Asiana Airlines ▲Jeju Air ▲T’way Air ▲Air Seoul ▲Air Busan ▲Jin Air ▲Eastar Jet and foreign airline ▲Lufthansa.
Passengers who have completed both ‘check-in’ and ‘immigration’ at Seoul Station can proceed to the departure lounge through the ‘Exclusive departure passageway for downtown airport terminal users’ without any additional procedures at the airport, allowing them to board the aircraft without waiting at the airport.
Kim Kyeong-sun, head of the Airport Railroad Sales Headquarters, said, “Because the existing departure screening operating hours were different from the boarding check-in operating hours (05:20-19:00), customers taking early morning flights had to check in for their airline at Seoul Station and then go through departure screening again at the airport, which was inconvenient,” adding, “We expect this adjustment to the departure screening operating hours to resolve this inconvenience.”
