Ajou University Medical Center, celebrating its 30th anniversary, declared a new vision and pledged to make a leap forward as a ‘100-year medical institution.’
On the 13th, Ajou University Medical Center announced that it held a ceremony the day before to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The ceremony was attended by approximately 400 distinguished guests from home and abroad, including Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-joon, Suwon City Council Chairman Lee Jae-sik, Korea Private University Hospital Association Chairman Yoon Eul-sik (Korea University Medical Vice President and Medical Center Director), and former Daewoo Group Chairman Yoon Young-seok.
Ajou University Medical Center established ‘Ajou University Medical Center Vision 3.0’ this year to celebrate its 30th anniversary since its official opening on September 12, 1994. The vision contains the goal of becoming a medical institution that makes humanity healthy and happy through ‘Ajou’ excellent medical care, education, and research.
Han Sang-wook, Vice President of Medical Affairs and Director of Ajou University Medical Center, said, “We have established a new Vision 3.0 to prepare for the next 100 years together,” and added, “If we successfully implement the large-scale quantitative and qualitative growth currently being promoted, such as the construction of a new building and education and research building in 2029 and Ajou University Hospital in Pyeongtaek in 2030, we will make another surprising leap forward.”
In his congratulatory remarks, Yoon Eul-sik, the president of the Korean Association of Private University Hospitals, said, “I look forward to Ajou University Medical Center’s continued performance as a biomedical hub that proactively responds to the rapidly changing medical environment,” and added, “I hope for endless development with one mind and one purpose until the day we celebrate our 100th anniversary.”
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon said in a video message, “I would like to thank you for your tireless efforts over the past 30 years to protect the health and safety of the local community,” and asked, “As a strong medical partner for the 14 million Gyeonggi Province residents, I ask that you protect the health and safety of local residents and the nation.”
