On the evening of January 10, clients of Ak Bars Bank reported a failure in the services of the credit institution, testify data from the Downdetector.su portal. Over the last hour, more than 580 users reported problems, over the last 24 hours – 3.4 thousand.

Complaints began to arrive at approximately 17:00 Moscow time. Ak Bars Bank clients experienced problems with the application, card operation and payment. “The application is not working. I can’t pay for purchases in the store, it says there are not enough funds,” wrote one Downdetector.su user.

The peak of reports of problems occurred at 17:45 Moscow time. By this time, 341 users had reported the failure. Most of the complaints came from Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Nizhny Novgorod region, Samara region, and Volgograd region.
In September 2023, “Ak Bars Bank” hit under sanctions of the US Treasury. In October of the same year, the credit institution’s application disappeared from the Google Play online store, and in February 2024, the service was removed from the App Store.
In the Interfax-100 ranking of Ak Bars Bank as of the third quarter of 2024 occupied 16th place in terms of assets in Russia with an indicator of more than 1 billion rubles.
