He is a 2017 SSC batch student of Sadar Union Mehernama High School and a 3rd year student of Social Science Department of Chittagong College.

It is known that Wasim Akram is a member of the convening committee of Chhatra Dal of Chittagong College and a member of the convening committee of Pekua Upazila Chhatra Dal.

Eyewitnesses said that at the beginning of the clash, they attacked with batons, but later firing and cocktail explosions started. A few gunmen are seen firing. At this time, the students dispersed. Later they started throwing bricks. The chase continued like this.
