Al Pacino admitted that he only made movies for money: “First I had 50 million dollars, then nothing”

Al Pacino lost all his savings at the age of 70.

Al Pacino tells in a couple of days ago Sonny Boy – in his memoir that he only made movies for money.

Pacino reveals that his accountant was a con artist who made him lose his entire $50 million savings. The actor also admits that he has spent money recklessly, for example on luxury vacations, and that he has not kept track of his own finances and the activities of his accountant.

“For example, I would have paid a landscape designer $400,000 a year. I’m not exaggerating at all. So this much only went to a house where I didn’t even live. First I had $50 million, then nothing. I did own real estate, but otherwise I was penniless.”

In the early 2010s, 70-year-old and penniless Pacino accepted roles in movies just for the pay. In 2011, he was seen, for example, with Adam Sandler in the Jack and Jill comedy, which was barked at.

“I went with it because there was nothing else available. I got a good reward for the film”.

Pacino also sold one of his houses when he was short of money and, contrary to his previous principles, agreed to participate in advertisements. He also appeared as a speaker at various seminars for a fee.

84-year-old Pacino is still working hard. At the moment, he has six different films shot and in the post-production phase. For example, he plays the lead role in Bernard Rose’s film Lear Rex, to be seen next year, which is an interpretation of William Shakespeare’s play King Lear.

Muropaketti has only had time to read a good 100 pages of Pacino’s book, but based on that alone, I dare to recommend the personal opus to people other than the actor’s most die-hard fans.
