Announcing the decision of the investigating judge Anna Magelli to proceed with the release of Alessandro Basciano is his lawyer, Leonardo D’Erasmo, following the interrogation on Saturday 23 November.
“Alessandro reiterated his non-involvement in the facts. He is amazed to find himself in this situation. He was killed by a media trial, used as a scapegoat for something he didn’t do.”

What led the investigating judge to release Alessandro Basciano
In the provision issued on Saturday, judge Anna Magelli underlined that Basciano he provided an accurate reconstruction of the facts, denying that he had ever physically attacked his ex-partner or one of her friends.
Basciano presented some chat con Sophie Codegonifrom which a bond emerges that does not seem characterized by fear or anxiety, thus contrasting with the accusations of stalking.
Specifically, the woman, after receiving a gift and a letter from Basciano, expressed emotion and reflections on their past, recognizing shared responsibilities. The message dates back to November 11, shortly before Codegoni filed a new complaint.
Furthermore, the woman had withdrawn a previous complaint, declaring that she had resumed a peaceful relationship with Basciano, both as a couple and as parents.
The arrest of Alessando Basciano and the charges
Alessandro Basciano, influencer and television personality, was arrested in Milan on November 21st on charges of stalking his ex-partner, Sophie Codegoni.
The two met in 2022 while participating in the reality show “Big Brother”. Sophie’s complaint, dating back to December 2023, led to the arrest of Basciano, accused of threats and obsessive behavior, including physical assault on a friend of the victim.
According to the investigations, the man showed “obsessive jealousy” and, after the breakup, continued to persecute his ex.
