Joe i Judy Norellithe founders Norelli Family Foundationa private non-profit foundation from Central Florida, has announced the release of a new music album for children. Album titled „Solid Rock Revival“nominated for Grammy Award for Best Children’s Music Album, will be released in August 2024 and features performances and covers of the band’s songs ROCK FOR CHILDRENled by the legendary Alice Cooperwhile famous musicians such as Slash from Guns N’ Roses, Rob Halford from Judas Priest i Darryl „DMC“ McDaniels from Run DMC. Revenue from album sales, as well as from concerts and special events, will support Norelli Family Foundation i Alice Cooper– the humanitarian organization Solid Rock from Phoenix, Arizona.
Cooper is together with his wife Sheryl founded Solid Rock in 1995, with the goal of positively influencing the lives of young people in the community. Solid Rock Teen Center motivates teenagers to discover their talents and achieve artistic excellence through music, dance and art, as well as through professional training in sound, lighting, directing and socializing, all in a safe environment. The center in Phoenix offers an auditorium, a dance studio, a computer lab and music classrooms, including a recording studio and a video studio. A second location opened in 2021 in Mesa, Arizona, and a third will open soon in Goodyear, Arizona. All programs are free for youth from 12 to 20 years old.
Norelli Family Foundation provides support and help to children and young people in need. Since its establishment in 2013, the foundation has been cooperating with various organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Alice Cooper‘s Solid Rock, New Hope For Kids i drugim.
On the album Cooper brings a new version of his hit “No More Mr. Nice Guy”, under the title „Now I’m Mr. Nice Guy“**as well as songs „I’m Thirteen“, „School’s Out, No Bummer“ i „Monster Mash“. Halford sings the lead vocals on the song „Pleasant Dreams“whereas DMC contributes to the song „In The Midday Hour“. Slash has recorded guitar parts for “Freewheelin'”a duet Alice and his daughter Calico Cooper. 123 Andreswinner of the Grammy Award, performed „Let’s Go My Friends“while they are Cloud Radioyoung sisters and TikTok sensation from Mexico, recorded “Sugarrush”. The staff and teenagers from The Rock Teen Center directly participated in the production of the album.
Executive producer Joe Norelli in cooperation with the producers Ruben Salas i Dana Kamide he designed and realized classic rock covers and new original songs for this album. Salas has an enviable number of Grammy awards and nominations in various musical genres, while Kamide famous producer and owner of studio equipment.
„Solid Rock Revival“ contains 13 songs and is available on vinyl, digitally and via streaming platforms, with educational content accompanying the album.
