All cameras in the iPhone 17 Pro will shoot at 48 MP, and the main one will be smaller than in the iPhone 16 Pro

Chinese insiders shared new information about the iPhone 17 Pro.

According to them, the smartphones will have three 48 MP cameras: a 48 MP Fusion lens, a 48 MP ultra-wide lens and an updated 48 MP Tetraprism telephoto lens. Both the main and telephoto cameras are “hybrid fiberglass lenses.” At the same time, the resolution of the front camera will be increased to 24 MP.

It is noted that the main sensor of the iPhone 17 Pro will be smaller compared to the iPhone 16 Pro – 1/1.3-inch sensor versus 1/1.28-inch. However, this difference is unlikely to be noticeable when taking photographs.

Presumably, this change is due to the new location of the camera modules. According to rumors, they will be placed along the horizontal axis, like in the Google Pixel. (MacRumors)
