The leap expected by many may take place with the next generation of Apple’s mobile phones.
Since 2021, Apple has limited the higher refresh rate to iPhone Pro models only, while many even entry-level Android devices are equipped with 120 Hz panels. It was previously suggested that all models of the iPhone 17 product line could be equipped with a 120 Hz display, and this was confirmed by another report the other day.
The ET News citing an industry source, reported that all devices of the iPhone 17 series expected to be released next year will be equipped with an LTPO display. It is worth knowing about the LTPO technology that it not only enables a high image update, but also significantly reduces the device’s energy consumption by changing the update frequency.
From the portal’s report, we can therefore conclude that all iPhone 17 models can be equipped with 120 Hz displays on store shelves, which, thanks to the more energy-efficient LTPO panels – in addition to smoother and more fluid animations – are expected to improve battery life as well compared to the previous generation.
