all that changes

Cowboy, a Belgian brand known and recognized for its connected electric bikes, is rolling out a second version of its AdaptativePower function. The latter now allows you to climb 50% steeper slopes without additional effort, and to save 10% of battery on flat roads thanks to ever more intelligent management of the system.

Do we still need to introduce the Belgian brand Cowboy, famous for its connected and sleek electric bikes? In March 2023, the company gave us a preview of a brand new feature called AdaptivePower.

Its principle? Understanding the environment in which you are in order to best adjust the power delivered to you. If the bike understands that you are on a hill, where the effort intensifies, then your mount will support you even better. AdaptivePower also adapts to the wind and the user’s weight. In short, intelligent management intended to make the rider’s task easier.

Ever more ease on the coasts

A little over a year later, Cowboy unveils a version n°2 of its AdaptivePower, soberly titled AdaptivePower 2.0, we learn in a press release sent to the editorial staff. This update is based on 16 months of data and more than 50 million kilometers traveled, specifies the brand.

In practice, this V2 goes even further than the first: it allows you to take “riders on 50% steeper slopes, without additional effort from the rider“, it is written. Work on energy management and optimization has also been undertaken, in order to preserve the battery autonomy percentages as much as possible.

Which Cowboy electric bikes are affected?

Cowboy explains: “This intelligent power management also boosts the bike’s efficiency, reducing battery usage by delivering the right power at the right time, saving 10% battery life when riding on a flat road without strong winds or extra weight.».

Who will receive this new feature? All owners of the current models, the Classic, Cruiser and Cross, via a simple update deployed in the coming days. New customers will also be entitled to it by default. On the other hand, older versions of the Cowboy are apparently deprived of this new function.
