Apple has released the second beta of iOS 18.2 and After installing it and testing it on my iPhone, I have found some very interesting new features that will reach all users when the final version is released. Do not forget that this update will bring Apple Intelligence to more countries and that the possible release date of iOS 18.2 has already been leaked.

In the first beta of iOS 18.2 I already found many new features and improvements compared to iOS 18.1, among which we find Apple Intelligence functions such as Genmoji or Image Playground, in addition to other improvements in the default apps and for European iPhones.

This is a novelty that surprised me and that seems like a great success to me. From the iPhone Search app we can find both people and other deviceslike an AirTag. And Apple has now made the search process easier.

If you have lost a device, Apple now allows you to share the location of that lost item with another person so they can also locate it. A link will be generated that we can share with other users so they can search for it, a link that will also work on non-Apple devices.

Icon improvements

What’s new for Camera Control

Camera Control is that new button on the iPhone 16 that allows us to take photos and perform some actions, and with this beta of iOS 18.2 the functions have been expanded. Now we find an option to lock auto exposure and set autofocus with light pressure on the button.

There is also an option to adjust Camera Control double-click speed. We can choose between default, slow and slower from the accessibility settings.

Improvements in battery life and device temperature control

A novelty that is always welcome. In the release notes, Apple indicates that it has improved the battery life and temperature of the iPhone with this update. Although it is too early to see how much improvement we have, it is something that never hurts.
