The reign of electric quadricycles this year is EICMA. The 2024 edition of the Milanese motorcycle event, in fact, is the ideal place to see all the latest news from the world of innovative four-wheeled city vehicles in one place.
And BAW a XVpassing through the new ones Mobilizethere are different brands of electric quadricycles, light and otherwise. In this brief review, let’s see the most anticipated ones on the Italian market that can be seen live at Milan Fair from 7 to 11 November.
BAW
Starting our review strictly in alphabetical order, the first brand of electric quadricycles present at EICMA 2024 is BAW and, in particular, its rather square-shaped vehicle BAW1.
Imported by Italian company TC8it is a non-light electric quadricycle approved in category L7 – therefore it can be driven with a B license and by 16 years and over according to the law – just over 3 meters long and available in three different versions: passengers 2 and 4 seater, van 2 seater e freight transport always with 2 seats, the latter also equipped with the possibility of folding the front passenger backrest to increase the load volume.
The BAW1 imported from TC8
Under its rear hood there is a electric motor capable of pushing it up to a maximum speed of 90 km/hfor a declared autonomy of 170 km. On a technological level, it is equipped with an infotainment system with dual 10.25-inch displays, rear view camera and tire pressure monitoring. The price? From 9.990 euro.
Mobilize
The two new Mobilize quadricycles are powered by an electric motor 48 Volt created starting from the one mounted on the mild hybrid powertrains of the Austral SUV and powered by a NMC battery of 10.3 kWh, which corresponds to a module of the battery pack of the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric. Thanks to these characteristics, with a single charge the Duo is able to travel approximately 161 kmaccording to the approval cycle of electric quadricycles, while the Bento 149 km.

If you are interested, both can be purchased from the Renault dealer network with basic prices of 9,990 euros for the Duo people transport version and 12,900 euros for the Bento commercial version, the latter available only in the 80 L7 version.

The third electric quadricycle manufacturer brand present at EICMA 2024 is XEV with its new range now imported from the historic dealer Campello Motors and composed of Yoyo and from the new one Yoyo Pro more equipped, with new multi-function steering wheel and 10″ touch screen with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Both are L7 approved, therefore they can be driven with a B or B1 license from 16 years of age and up, and for 2024 they have been updated and equipped with the new Lithium Ion battery for 10,4 kWhwhich powers a permanent magnet synchronous motor from 7,5 kWcapable of guaranteeing an autonomy of approximately 172 km (according to the UDDS cycle). The prices? It starts from 16,990 euros (excluding incentives).
