In New Chandgaon residential area of Chittagong city, there has been an allegation of murder of domestic worker Jasmine Akhtar (18) by the house owner. This incident took place at Bahaddar Hat of Chandgaon police station on Sunday (September 22) morning.
Currently, the body of the domestic worker is in the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CHMEC) morgue. Confirming the matter, Chandgaon Police Station OC (Acting) Aftab told Azadi that a body was found in Chandgaon this morning. The body is in the morgue. Details can be told after the post-mortem. The family of the deceased said that they will file a case.
It is known that housekeeper Jasmine’s home is Charamba Union of Lohagarh. He used to work in the residence of Shahidul Islam and Saida Sultana in Chandgaon residential area.
Jemmin’s maternal grandfather Abshar told Azadi that my granddaughter used to work at Shahidul Islam’s house. Suddenly on Sunday morning, his parents called and asked him to come urgently. The police arrived at the house and found the body of my granddaughter lying there. The householders are saying that my granddaughter has committed suicide. But I don’t see any reason to commit suicide. The body is in the hospital, the report will be given after the post-mortem. We will file a case.
