Allegedly, the Russian paratroopers broke into Suja: the battle for the city began

According to Russian media, the fighting is currently taking place in the eastern and southeastern parts of the cityin the Zamosztye micro-neighborhood and in the area of the former butter factory. The siege is said to be led by soldiers of the 11th Airborne Brigade.

Russian newspapers write about: along with this the siege of the village of Guevo in Kursk County also began, and the Russian soldiers “practically surrounded” Malaya Loknya, where Ukrainian soldiers are also staying.

On the Ukrainian side, the news of the presence of Russian soldiers in Suja has not yet been confirmed. According to the latest information from LiveUAMap, there are still no Russians in the Zamosztye district, approx. They are 1-2 kilometers south, on the border of Mahnovka. There are no Russians in the southern direction of Malaya Loknya, and it is not true that this operational sector is cut off from Suja.

Suja is the only Russian city that Ukrainian forces were able to occupy during the operation against Kursk (along with many smaller villages).

According to Western analysts, Russian forces are now trying to push the Ukrainians out of Kursk, before President-elect Donald Trump is expected to orient the warring parties towards peace negotiations. The Ukrainians want to exchange the occupied Kursk territories for occupied Ukrainian territories.
