In France, more than 3 out of 10 children do not know how to swim, and more particularly in Seine-Saint-Denis where 6 out of 10 children do not have access to swimming. Faced with this observation, Allianz France has decided to facilitate access to swimming for young people. It is with the Raincy swimmers’ sports association, a partner club of the “I learn to swim” program that it has joined forces to develop this campaign.
This complements Allianz France’s commitments to encourage sports practice. With the MoveNow Camp, which allowed several hundred children to discover a sport and practice it within a partner club of the company, Allianz is strengthening its program with this new action. “FiIn line with its societal and sporting commitment, Allianz France is proud to support the Raincy Swimming Association with a donation of 15,000 euros”indicates Olivier Renard, responsible for societal commitment at Allianz, in a press release.
Help from an influencer to raise awareness among young people
To support the launch of this program, the company decided to call on an influencer who is none other than… Michou. The YouTuber with 10 million subscribers had already collaborated with Allianz France as part of Paris 2024. A campaign was therefore launched this morning on his social networks, where 6 of his subscribers were selected to follow a program of 10 lessons of swimming in two weeks.
At the end of this apprenticeship, the six swimmers will be awarded a state diploma certifying their ability to swim. The video was published on the YouTuber’s secondary channel on Saturday November 23. She retraces these two weeks where subscribers aged 18 to 25 learned to swim and explained that for them, these sessions were much more than simple lessons. “Learning to swim is not just a cool activity for the summer: it’s something that can literally save lives! That’s where Allianz France, with Allianz France, decided to act: by informing and by raising awareness among as many people as possible about the importance of access and learning to swim for all.”says Michou in the video.
