Google’s parent company, Alphabet, announced its balance sheet for the April-June period.
Accordingly, Alphabet’s revenue in the second quarter of the year increased by 14 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $84.7 billion. The company had generated $74.6 billion in revenue in the second quarter of 2023.
The company’s net profit also rose 28.6 percent year-over-year to $23.6 billion in the second quarter. Alphabet had a net profit of $18.4 billion in the same period last year.
The company’s earnings per share rose from $1.44 in the second quarter of last year to $1.89 in the same period this year.
Alphabet’s revenue and profit in the period in question exceeded market expectations.
