Alpine’s new sports car appears in a video

A new model Alpine is coming. This is the A390a sporty crossover that will be born from a blank sheet of paper and which, therefore, should be a model dedicated exclusively to the Dieppe brand.

In a video posted on YouTube by the channel NCarssome prototypes are seen for the first time facing the latest test on the road, before the debut of the almost definitive concept scheduled for the next Paris Motor Show from 14 to 20 October.

Arrives in Paris

At the French car show, the new Alpine will be shown live for the first time in an almost definitive version and with the name A390_b. At the planning level, there is still very little information about it, but it should be a fastback.

The bodywork, therefore, should be from 5 door saloonwith a coupé tail and slightly raised trim, as can also be seen in the short video and in our render published during 2024.

Front or full-wheel, but always electric

Mechanically, however, this new Alpine should be based on the platform AmpR Medium (derived from the Renault Group’s Cmf-EV), therefore with the possibility of having front-wheel or all-wheel drive, by placing an electric motor per axle.

One of the few details that can be noticed from the video, moreover, is the presence of a front light on two levelswith the lower ones having a triangular shape: something new for the French brand and which probably wants to hark back to the historic models of the past dedicated to rallies.

To find out more, all that remains is to wait for the next Paris Motor Show, now upon us, scheduled from 14 to 20 October in the French capital.
