Verovali or ne, it’s been more than two years since Elon Musk took over Twitter. Back then, many rushed to find a new network, and currently they are the most popular Threads, Mastodon i Bluesky.
Although it does not look like Twitter, Threads is called “the only true successor”, and in October 2024 the platform reached as many as 275 million monthly users. Bluesky, on the other hand, has 14.5 million, while Mastodon is in last place, although at the time Twitter turned into X, it already had a user base.
So there is no clear successor – Threads is more like a visual diary than what Twitter used to be. That’s why X is still in first place for many. This does not mean that things are final – Bluesky has gained over 700 thousand new users in the last few days. It is certain that this number will only increase, especially after news like that Stephen King blocked on Platform X for criticizing Musk for participating in the Trump campaign.
