Flagship Android tablets powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset are a very, very rare phenomenon, even as premium smartphones are annually upgraded to the most powerful SoC every year. So far there are no tablets to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but that could change if a new rumor from a tipster at X is true.
The new leak describes that Xiaomi is working on a new tablet powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and this beast will be released later this year.
Unfortunately, there are no further details about the device at this time. However, using this very expensive chipset automatically means that the rest of the specs should be top-notch too – otherwise we’d feel like there’s something of a mismatch here. So expect a large, high-resolution screen, at least 8 GB of RAM (but possibly 12 GB or even 16 GB) and a battery of more than 10,000 mAh. We’ll let you know when we know more.
