When washing black clothes, follow the rules of color preservation.

Wash dark clothes and black laundry separately from other laundry. What does that mean? Only dark blue, black, dark green and dark gray clothes belong in the same bin. In addition to the color, pay attention to the quantity: do not wash too many clothes at the same time, otherwise you risk that they will not be washed well or that an unpleasant smell will remain. And most importantly, you will protect the material and paint.

Wash with cold water

Wash black clothes in cold water with a special detergent.

When washing black clothes, use only cold water. Warm water causes the color to deviate from the fabric, and this is especially problematic for dark or black clothes. The cold wash cycle should include a temperature of 15 to 26 degrees Celsius. If you want to wash dark clothes well and prevent an unpleasant smell, add some vinegar when washing.

Shorter wash cycle

If you wash your clothes more than once, they can fade faster.

The less time the garment is in the washing machine, the less chance it has of fading. Here, however, the two rules are somewhat contradictory. The first, which says that dark clothes should be washed less often, and the second, that it is recommended to wash them at a lower temperature. If you wash your laundry less often, you will consequently have to wash it at higher temperatures, or depending on the degree of soiling and the type of fabric. If you wash it more often, you run the risk that it will fade too quickly. So act thoughtfully.

Special detergent

When washing dark clothes, use a specialized detergent for colorful or only dark clothes. This will help keep the color in the fabric during the wash cycle and prevent fading.
