Amazon has a new Fire TV Stick HD and it is the cheapest

Amazon has renewed its entry-level Fire TV Stick HD, added a remote control and has reduced its price compared to the previous model.

Amazon’s Fire TVs are devices that – like Google’s Chromecast, which are their biggest rivals – allow televisions without Smart TV functions to be elevated to the category of “smart”. Or improve the performance of any display screen, with access to all types of streaming services and the execution of thousands of applications or games.

Nuevo Fire TV Stick HD

«There is a newer model of this product»says Amazon when you link to the e-commerce giant’s streamer. Little more of a ‘rebrand’ because its specifications seem pretty much the same as the old device and the Stick Lite, which includes a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.

The new Fire TV Stick HD can stream with Full HD resolutions and has support for high dynamic range HDR. The biggest novelty is a remote control that you can use to control the television, sound bar or other peripherals, something that the previous ones did not do.

Unlike the more expensive Fire TV 4K models, the Fire TV Stick HD does not support Wi-Fi 6, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision HDR. It does support Wi-Fi 5, a variety of HDR standards including HLG, HDR10/10 Plus and of course with Alexa, for which it has a dedicated button with which to search for programs and start applications using voice commands. It also includes other special buttons for other streaming services such as Netflix and Prime Video.

The new Fire TV Stick HD is available on Amazon’s American portal for 35 dollarsfive dollars less than what the previous model cost at launch. We assume it will end up reaching the rest of the regions. In Spain, the most similar is the one mentioned Fire TV Stick Litebut it does not have controls for the television.
