AMD is definitely not slowing down in gaming and is hitting its competition again. In a new blog post, he compares his laptop processors to Intel Lunar Lake.
More precisely, it sends its Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 to the fight and compares it with the Intel Core Ultra 7 358V. Before the Christmas season, AMD wants to entice the fact that within the latest processors Ryzeny beats the competition Core Ultraand by enough.
All tests were run at 1080p resolution, and AMD claims it’s 75 percent faster on average than the competition. For example, in Far Cry 6, AMD is supposed to reach 142 FPS even with its HYPR-RX and FSR technology, while Intel with FSR “only” reaches 85 FPS. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, AMD reaches 99 FPS, Intel reaches 48 FPS.
These tests were carried out on Asus ZenBook notebooks, and as you can see in the pictures, AMD’s upscaling and frame-generation technologies are a huge advantage and practically a winning token. Although AMD turned on Intel’s FSR technology, it did not help him much. Intel’s own XeSS technology is not very widespread.
At least Intel can boast that it wins without additional technologies. That Intel’s raw performance is slightly better on average was shown by a test on Tom’s Hardware, which focused on pure performance without technology. Although the fight is even in many titles and within the wide selection of games there are also those where AMD defeats Intel, in the final evaluation Intel won in the end, which also points to the relatively promising next generation of Intel Arc graphics cards.
However, today additional software technologies are really a big help – and as AMD’s tests show, they can bring a significant increase in FPS, albeit with a few graphical artifacts.
