AMD may delay the launch of new Ryzen processors for another two weeks due to quality issues.
Last month, AMD introduced the new Ryzen 9000 Zen 5 range of desktop processors. Among them is the 16-core Ryzen 9950, which the company called “the world’s most powerful desktop processor”.
The new processors were supposed to launch on July 31st, but AMD’s Jack Huynh announced on X (formerly Twitter) that their launch will be delayed by two weeks so that AMD can ensure that its new processors arrive as must to customers.

AMD’s new processors will be released late
However, in the current context, it may not be the best news for potential customers looking for a new processor. As we well know, several users reported problems with Intel’s 13th generation processors as early as 2022, and the complaints continued into 2024 with the 14th generation processors.
Earlier this week, it announced that it had finally found the cause of these problems that plagued its latest series of processors and promised to release a patch during August. However, the upcoming update will not work for chips that have already degraded. Those drives will need to be completely replaced by Intel.
Users will have to wait a few weeks until mid-August for Intel to release this new update that it says will fix all stability issues.
