The graphics cards were already listed for sale in the Danish store, and the possibility of one mistake in the store remains small, when a confirmation came from Israel with pictures of the graphics cards that arrived at the local store.
AMD’s efforts at CES 2025 with the RDNA 4 architecture and Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards were eye-raising to say the least. The presentation of the architecture was canceled in the last few meters, but both the AMD and AIB manufacturers’ booths were full of graphics cards themselves.
Now, the release frenzy has gained a new dimension, when the Danish company Føniks Computer listed at least four Gigabyte Radeao RX 9070 XT Gaming OC graphics cards in stock for immediate delivery. The added price of 9,299 Danish kroner, i.e. more than 1,245 euros, undoubtedly put the brakes on the most eager subscribers.
One store’s listing error could easily be dismissed as just a mistake, but an employee of an unnamed Israeli computer store said on Reddit with photos that the company had already stocked Sapphire’s Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT Pulse graphics cards.
Meanwhile, the actual release date is still a mystery, although the 24th seems like the most likely option. This is supported not only by XFX’s previous publication teasing that date, but also by data from the Geizhals price comparison site. The site lists Gigabyte’s Aorus Radeon RX 9070 XT Elite graphics card as January 22nd and on sale as January 24th.
