The draft law aims to ensure a form of protection for pensioners, regardless of the pension category from which they benefit, in the event of issuing decisions to recover amounts improperly paid after October 1, 2014, as well as under the condition that the beneficiaries are not at fault in relation to flow generation mode.
“By way of derogation from the provisions of Law no. 360/2023 on the public pension system, debts constituted or to be
set up for the beneficiaries of the public pension system, representing sums improperly collected as pension, social allowance for pensioners and allowance for the companion, are not recovered”, the legislative initiative states.
The draft law was adopted by the Senate, and the Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making body in this case.
