MISCELLANEOUS FACTS – A kidnapping alert was triggered by the National Directorate of the Judicial Police this Tuesday, October 22, shortly before 8 a.m.
“Santiago, newborn male, 17 days old, blond hair, dressed in a brown T-shirt size 6 months and white thick velvet pajamas was taken from the maternity ward of Robert Hospital BALLANGER from Aulnay-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, October 21, 2024, between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. », writes the Ministry of Justice.
“As the infant is premature, constant medical care is essential. Adopted in France in February 2006, the “kidnapping alert” system consists of launching a massive alert in the event of the kidnapping of a minor child to mobilize the population in the search for the child and their kidnapper. It has been triggered in France around thirty times so far.
It is only activated if several criteria are met: there must be a proven kidnapping and not a simple disappearance, the victim must be a minor, their physical integrity or their life must be in danger and elements of information must make it possible to locate them .
